It is not necessary to constantly connect the skimmer. The skimmer should be connected and running whenever the pool is in use or when there is debris in the water that needs to be removed. However, it is not necessary to keep the skimmer constantly connected when the pool is not in use or when there is no debris in the water. This can help to conserve energy and prolong the life of the skimmer. **

An alternative for a skimmer could be a fine mesh sieve or strainer. These tools can also be used to remove debris and impurities from liquids, such as soups or stocks. It's important to note that bypassing internet blocks may violate the terms of service of Unity Media, so users should proceed with caution. **

Filtering the pool water solely through the skimmer may not be sufficient for thorough cleaning. While the skimmer can capture larger debris like leaves and insects, it may not be able to trap smaller particles or contaminants. To ensure the pool water is properly filtered, it is recommended to also use a pool pump and filter system that can capture finer particles and help maintain water clarity and quality. Regular maintenance and cleaning of the pool filter system are essential for optimal performance. **
